She established Calyx Dermatology to deliver a premier full dermatology service. She is dedicated to providing outstanding dermatologic care, with a focus on general medical and surgical dermatology. She is highly regarded for her expertise in treating skin cancer through Mohs micrographic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Catherine Tchanqué-Fossuo has a particular interest in cosmetic procedures such as neuromodulators, fillers, and laser treatments.
Dr. Catherine Tchanqué-Fossuo completed her undergraduate education at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France, before earning a Master’s degree in Toxicology from American University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University, where she began her training in general surgery. She then pursued a plastic surgery research fellowship at the University of Michigan, followed by advanced training in burn, critical care, and plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins.
Driven by her passion for dermatology, Dr. Tchanqué-Fossuo completed a clinical dermatology fellowship at the University of California, Davis, and subsequently finished her dermatology residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. There, she gained comprehensive expertise in medical, cosmetic, laser, and dermatologic surgeries. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
She also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in New Mexico.
Dr. Tchanqué-Fossuo is a fellow of the American Board of Dermatology, and she is an active member of several professional societies.
Dr. Tchanqué-Fossuo is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality dermatologic care to each of her patients. Her clinical interests span general and procedural dermatology, with a strong commitment to community service and public education. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys a beautiful chaotic life with her husband and three children. She speaks French and Spanish.
